An extremely beautiful & rare Blue Venetian Glass Pair of Vases having a 90% body with gold work flower painting art & Enamel work.
This Pair of Exquisitely detailed Murano opaline turquoise Vases, measure at 40cm/15,75"” tall. They are in Excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The 24k Gold patina covers 90% of the vases , with Turquoise blue, white, green and pink hand-painted floral accents.
Both have original hand writen “ decorated a mano murano oro 24 k. ” on the base of the vases , on the bottom there is the ingraved signature of artist LUIGI MORO.

Various materials are often added to the glass at this stage along with a variety of color and texturing agents to produce the different effects that make Murano glass unique. Sodium for example, is added to make surfaces opaque, nitrate and arsenic are added to eliminate bubbles, even precious metals such as sterling silver and 24 karat gold are added to enhance the design and create a dazzling effect.
