Phenomenal Pair of Verdello Marble Lions, worked and carved entirely by hand, single block. Provenance Venice, private collection, 18th century. They are of very high workmanship and quality. The marble used is sublime and refined, shiny and precious, has an enviable grain. They are of large size and substantial weight, perfectly proportioned.
