Provençal Bread Rack Called Panetière In Solid Walnut – 18th Century
Magnificent Provençal bread rack called panetière made entirely of solid walnut, dating from the 18th century.
A very beautiful and typical piece of Provençal furniture used for storing bread.
The upper crossbar is decorated with a bouquet of flowers, two arrows, and numerous branches .
The lower crossbar is decorated in the same style.
In the central section, there is a small door decorated with a small capital and three arrows. It opens with a large cylindrical iron hinge. The door retains its original lock and hardware, as well as its working key.
The door is framed by turned spindles, a motif also found on both sides of the piece.
The bread tray rests on Louis XV style scroll feet.
Beautiful patina and in perfect condition.
