Large wall sculpture, light sculpture , light wall lamp Unique piece made by the Belgian sculptor Jules DeWaele, known under the pseudonym PIA MANU. Great collector of fossils and trilobites, Pia Manu takes back on this sculpture with primitive and rough sculptural forms , primal forms created by the power of nature. Made of concrete, iron, pyrite and glass. Signed Pia Manu in a small cartouche. Circa 1970. Special order for an owner in Flanders (Belgium). Several important pieces by Pia Manu of this same provenance will be presented in the coming days by @igmarstuer and @pschantiques. Representative of the Flemish Brutalists he models or sculpts primitive forms with materials with a powerful or anti-poetic texture (as he himself calls them) using concrete, earth and slate.

Rare low table by Raf Verjans

Rare and important low table by Raf Verjans (Belgium 1935 - 2022). This table is made of several aluminium pieces in different heights and forms. Several beautiful details and structures in brass were added to the table, which gives a beautiful spectacle in shape and color. The base of the table is made of black painted wood. Raf Verjans was a Belgian goldsmith and sculptor, ith silversmithing as a starting point, Raf Verjans' works extend across various disciplines, but both the craft and spatial aspects remain the main tone. Characteristic of all his works is the monumental character and universal connection. The works use people as the main figure, in his individual status and his universal form. Verjans organizes an encounter with these two forms, both in his art and in the viewer.
